General Information:
Open Bites is a comprehensive order management system designed to serve restaurants, cafés, bars, taverns, and businesses offering delivery and take-away services.
It is ideal for small to medium-sized food service businesses that seek speed and organization, as well as for those looking to integrate with delivery platforms.
The system operates through a local central computer, while the ordering terminals—whether smartphones or tablets—use the store's wireless network. An internet connection is required for issuing receipts.
A typical setup includes a computer (used either as a server or a workstation), wireless devices for taking orders, printers for preparation orders and receipts printers , and kitchen display screens.
It supports wireless ordering from Android devices via a specialized app and from iOS devices via a browser.
Once an order is completed, the items are either printed at the corresponding stations or displayed on designated kitchen screens. Multiple stations can be supported depending on the work areas. Kitchen screens display the order time.
The table management screen is integrated with the order screen, enhancing functionality. It supports table selection and release, partial or full transfer of items between tables, and displays the duration of occupancy, number of guests, and the server assigned to the table.
Delivery and Platforms:
Caller ID is supported through a device connected to the computer and the store’s router.
Integration with e-food and Wolt:
Open Bites supports sending items/inventory to Wolt and e-food, as well as receiving orders into the system once they are completed on the platform.
Functionality & Support:
Order-taking is done through fast, intuitive grouping screens based on product categories. There are special ingredient screens depending on the item, along with line-specific and order-wide comments.
Don’t worry about complex orders—everything is recorded.
OSS provides training and support 7 days a week for handling operational or technical issues.
Receipts and Payments:
Open Bites supports issuing order slips and receipts via a provider or directly through certified fiscal devices (ΦΗΜΑ) for all setups without table service. It fully supports compliance with Greece's MY DATA system and electronic delivery notes. Receipts can be issued and payments processed from any device using soft POS.
Complete Inventory Tracking:
Comprehensive inventory tracking is provided via Open Retail options. Purchases, returns, and receipts are recorded using handheld devices with real-time stock updates. Consumption and production processes are also supported to help manage and monitor stock levels.
